BOOKING PROCEDURE – Telephone No: 01786 462519 - Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm – an answering machine will operate at other times and on which you may leave your name and number and someone will get back to you. It is better to check availability by telephone or online first. We can not accept bookings for more than twelve months in advance. You can make a provisional telephone booking and this provisional telephone booking will remain firm provided we receive a completed booking form and a 25% non refundable deposit within seven days.
BOOKING FORMS – Should be sent to Killiechronan Cottages, 1 Springkerse Road, Stirling, FK7 7SN with your deposit (which is non-returnable) of not less than 25% of the total cost. If for any reason we are unable to accept the booking the deposit will be returned. Cheques should be made payable to "KILLIECHRONAN ESTATE". To pay by debit or credit card please phone 01786 462519. Please note credit card payments will incur a 2% surcharge. There is no surcharge for debit cards.
REPEAT BOOKINGS DISCOUNT – To take advantage of this and to repeat your booking for next year (equivalent period(s) and same cottage(s)) you may do so by sending a completed booking form with 25% deposit based on this current year's "advertised" rental within ONE week of the end of your stay. The balance of rental due will also be based on this current year's "advertised" rental. Alternatively within ONE week of the end of your stay you can telephone 01786 462519 and confirm your booking over the telephone. This is probably the quickest and safest way of ensuring you get the same cottage for the same week.
ACCOUNTS – Will be with the receipt for the deposit. The final payment is due not less than six weeks before entry date.
OCCUPATION – is from 16.00 hours and vacation no later than 10.00 hours on the day of departure. These times may only be altered by special arrangement in advance and during the period of the winter time table for ferry sailings. This is to allow sufficient time to prepare for new arrivals.
HEATING & ELECTRICITY – All cottages are equipped with one or more storage radiators to give background warmth and there is one convector heater in each room. Heating and electricity costs are included in the rental charge.
LAUNDRY – There is a launderette on site – washing machine and tumble dryer. PONY TREKKING – Available during the summer months – bookings and payments arranged on site. FISHING – Day and part day permits for the River Baa may be purchased on site.
DOGS – For practical reasons we can only allow a maximum of two dogs per cottage. A refundable deposit of £100 must be paid by cheque on your arrival at the cottage. The cheque will be held and returned to you if at the sole discretion of the caretaker the cottage has been left in a clean and tidy condition. If your cottage is not left in a clean and tidy condition your cheque will be used to cover the cost of additional cleaning required. Dogs must be kept under control at all times as there are many sheep, ponies and cattle on the Estate. Exercise must be out with the mown areas. Please do not allow your dog(s) to climb on the furniture within the cottages.
TELEVISION – Is not available in any of the cottages as suitable reception in the area is very difficult to obtain.
DOMESTIC ARRANGEMENTS – All cottages are fully equipped including a duvet, sheets, blanket and two pillows per bed. If you require more please bring them with you. Only a limited amount of domestic cleaning materials and toilet rolls will be provided, if you have additional requirements you should bring them with you. There is a bath and shower in every cottage. Please enquire about any other equipment or facilities that you may require as we would like to help if at all possible.
YOU SHOULD BRING – Towels, tea towels and any additional pillows or pillow slips.
COTS AND HIGHCHAIRS - can be provided but must be requested in advance (please see booking form). Bedding for cots is provided.
CLEANING – Each cottage is cleaned before your arrival and it would be appreciated if you could leave the cottage in a similar condition. If extra cleaning is required or an inventory check necessary, due to items being moved between cottages, we reserve the right to make a further charge.
BREAKAGES – We reserve the right to charge for any breakages or damage done to any property or equipment.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT – Please note there is no effective public transport to or near Killiechronan.
WATER SUPPLY – Is private from the Killiechronan Hill and consequently we cannot guarantee quality or quantity. It is recommended that water is boiled before drinking.
MOBILE PHONE SIGNALS – Only Vodafone at Killiechronan. O2 in Salen village. We reserve the right to refuse or revoke any booking, which in our sole opinion may be unsuitable without giving a reason and
no correspondence will be entered into.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE TRAVEL INSURANCE IN PLACE AS DEPOSIT PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON

Accommodation consists of one to three bedrooms, living/dining room with modern furniture, rugs or carpets and well fitted kitchen. Ground floor accommodation throughout – except Mill Cottage with split level up to the bedrooms and Bothy Cottage and the Farmhouse with bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. All are tastefully furnished with usual kitchen utensils and equipment - electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, iron and ironing board.
