- BOOKING PROCEDURE -

Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. - Answering machine at other times, leave your name and number and someone will get back to you.

It is better to check availability and to make a provisional booking by telephone first.
We do not accept bookings for more than ten months in advance.
This telephone booking will remain firm provided we receive a completed booking form and deposit within seven days.

   

BOOKING FORMS - Should be sent to

with a deposit (which is non returnable) of not less than 25 % of total cost. If for any reason we are unable to accept the booking the deposit will be returned.
Cheques should be made payable to “KILLIECHRONAN ESTATE”.

REPEAT BOOKINGS DISCOUNT – To take advantage of this and to repeat your booking for next year (equivalent period(s) and same cottage(s)) you may do so by sending a completed booking form with 25% deposit based on this current year’s “advertised” rental within four weeks of the end of your stay. The balance of rental due will also be based on this current year’s “advertised” rental. At the end of the four week period, if no booking form and deposit payment has been received the cottage will be let on a first come first served basis. Booking forms are available in all the cottages.

ACCOUNTS will be sent with the receipt for the deposit. Final Payment is required at least six weeks before entry date.

OCCUPATION is from 16.00 hours and vacation no later than 10.00 hours on the day of departure. These times may only be altered by special arrangement in advance and during the period of the winter time table for ferry sailings. This is to allow foir sufficient time to prepare for new arrivals.

HEATING AND ELECTRICITY - All cottages are equipped with one or more storage radiators to give background warmth and there is one convector heater in each room. Heating and electricity costs are included in the rental charge.

Laundry - There is a laundrette on site - washing machine and tumble dryer

PONY TREKKING - Available during the summer months - booking and payments arranged on site.

FISHING - Day and part day permits for fishing on the River Baa.may be purchased on site.

DOGS - For practical reasons we can only allow a maximum of two dogs per cottage at an additional charge of £10 per week per dog. Dogs must be kept under control at all times, as there are many sheep and cattle on the Estate. Exercise must be outwith the mown areas. Please do not allow your dogs to climb on the furniture within the cottages.

Television - Is not available in any of tthe cottages as suitable reception in the area is very difficult to obtain

DOMESTIC ARRANGEMENTS – All cottages are fully equipped including a duvet, sheets, blanket and two pillows per bed. If you require more please bring them with you. Only a limited amount of domestic cleaning materials and toilet rolls will be provided, if you have additional requirements you should bring them with you. There is a bath and shower in every cottage. Please enquire about any other equipment or facilities that you may require as we would like to help if at all possible

YOU SHOULD BRING – Towels, tea towels and any additional pillows or pillow slips.

COTS AND HIGHCHAIRS - can be provided but must be requested in advance (please see booking form). Bedding for cots is provided

CLEANING - Each cottage is cleaned before your arrival and it would be appreciated if you could leave the cottage in similar condition. If extra cleaning is required or an inventory check necessary due to items being moved between cottages, we reserve the right to make a further charge.

BREAKAGES - We reserve the right to charge for any breakages or damage done to any property or equipment.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT - Please note there is no effective public transport to or near Killiechronan

WATER SUPPLY - Is private from the Killiechronan hill and consequently we cannot guarantee quality or quantity. It is recommended that water is boiled before drinking.

MOBILE PHONE SIGNALS – Only Vodafone at Killiechronan. O2 in Salen village.


We reserve the right to refuse or revoke any booking, which in our sole opinion may be unsuitable without giving a reason and no correspondence will be entered into.

We reserve the right to alter these rents in the event of a change in rate of VAT

Accommodation consists of one to three bedrooms, living/dining room with modern furniture, rugs or carpets and well fitted kitchen. Ground floor accommodation throughout - except Mill Cottage with split level up to the bedrooms and Bothy Cottage and the Farmhouse with bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. All tastefully furnished with usual kitchen utensils and equipment, electric cooker, refrigerator, iron and ironing board.

GROUP 1 Stable Cottage - 2 people - no cot - 1 twin bedroom - ground floor Shearing Cottage - 2 people - no cot - 1 twin bedroom - ground floor

GROUP 2 Mill Cottage - 4 people - no cot - 2 twin bedrooms - split level to bedrooms Granary Cottage - 4 people - no cot - 1 double bedroom -1 twin bedroom - ground floor Bull Cottage - 4 people - no cot - 2 twin bedrooms - ground floor Bothy Cottage - 4 people + cot - 2 twin bedrooms and bathroom on first floor

GROUP 3 Byre Cottage - 6 people + cot - 1 double bedroom - 1 twin bedroom - 1 bedroom with bunk beds - ground floor.

GROUP 4 Farmhouse - 6 people + cot - 3 twin bedrooms and bathroom on first floor - separate sitting room and dining room - walled garden. Cots and high chairs - no extra charge but must be booked in advance
